In a $100 salary cap dynasty league, should I allow a trade of 1.3 & 2.3 for.... $14 Ryan Mathews (that's a contact value- real value is $7), 1.8 & 2.8? (It is a rookie and free agent draft, some free agents are going to be Antonio Gates, Mike Wallace, Miles Austin, Mohamed Sanu, BJGE, Philip Rivers, James Jones, Brandon Myers, Shonne Green, Daniel Thomas, Willis McGahee, Mike Goodson,)???
I'm against this trade because I don't think Mathews is enough to warrant a jump of 10 total positions.
"He who puts on the armor ought not to boast like him who takes it off."
It seems like a stupid move on the part of the guy getting Mathews but I don't see this being veto-able. I mean, can you suggest collusion? I imagine that if you stop this trade and Mathews finally lights it up this year, the guy who would have got him will be pretty pissed off. There is a chance this trade turns out to be even, not a good one by most accounts but a chance none the less.
I say yes, allow it but definitely make fun of the owner of who gets Mathews.

If I were an owner in your league I'd be kinda ticked at you right now. There are morons in every league just like there are morons in the NFL (the Jets...). Taking advantage of the morons is something smart teams (the Broncos) do. It isn't the leagues place to step in and tell the morons their stupid. ...Well... maybe it is, but not specifically about individual situations. I'm sure Goodell tried to talk to Al Davis once a week about getting Oakland out of the cellar but he probably didn't say much about the Moss acquisition or salary he paid to Jamarcus...
If a Commish starts stepping in on every trade he feels is unfair, I'm walking away from the league pretty quick.

I agree with this one, i wouldnt be happy if you talked someone out of a trade i thought i was winning. First of all i dont think that is THAT lopsided where it smells of collusion, especially if the one guy believes in Mathews. Your job as a commissioner is to make the league run smoothly and stop any cheating that may pop up, not to coach players or only let through trades that you think are even.
Just like in real life people win and lose in trades. Could be for salary reasons, could be because they over/under value someone, or could just be because they are dumb. Once you start putting your hand into trades it gets very dicey because you cant turn back from that. I commission 2 leagues and have never vetoed a traded. I coached someone through a trade once because it was their first year and they were going to make a much larger mistake than this, but it was explained before the league started that I would be "helping" them and all agreed that was ok.
