Hey guys, im back for another year and have my annual question to ask: which 2 should i keep? (non ppr, ***players are kept in the round they were drafted in-denoted next to the player, so later rounds are usually better value)
Danny Amendola-12 Antonio Brown-5 Dez Bryant-3 Marques Colston-3 Jonathan Dwyer Julian Edelman-8 T.Y. Hilton-8 Mikel Leshoure-8 Daryl Richardson-8 Jacquizz Rogers-8 Ben Tate-10 Reggie Wayne-6 Beanie Wells-6 Deangelo Williams-5
Im leaning towards Amendola since he's so late and maybe Dez Bryant, but reggie wayne in the 6th is pretty good value too. Might be able to trade whatever i dont keep. thanks, leave a link and i'll help you back.
I agree with your assesment... Amendola (fingers crossed he can stay healthy), will be a tremendous value at a 12th round pick (especially with the TE mess in New England). And while i agree that Wayne is also great value at round 6, i think the right play is to keep Dez. You're getting 2nd round talent (arguably the 2 or 3rd best WR) for a 3rd round price. Dez's keeper value is also much better than Wayne (getting old)
For me personally I would stay away from danny amendola, I'm not quite sure how he will fair this season, as tom brady continues to age and that monster dual TE threat seems to have issues of its own. Meaning teams will be able to focus more on amendola and I dont seem him being able to produce under double team or blanket coverage.
I would keep Dez who has been coming on strong and seems to be at the top of most WR rankings, and given that Dallas is horrible and will be trailing early and often this year, I see Dez having alot of opportunity to suceed.
Second I would keep Colston, I think that now that the saints are past that bounty debacle, I find it hard to believe that they will not return to the post season and be as dominant as they were in previous years.
thanks for the input, the problem with Colston is since he and Dez are both 3rd round, i'd have to keep colston in the 2nd.
I think Brady is good enough at spreading the ball around that defenses wont be able to just focus on Amendola in the slot all day. If they do, Brady will kill them. Also they get Gronk back after 3-4 games.
Will have to mostly echo the consensus: Dez because he's a top-6 at worst WR (I've got him #3) and thus a good round three value. And Amendola because a WR3 in Rd. 12 is hard to beat for value as well.
I will note that I am not particularly sold on Amendola and would also consider Hilton at Rd. 8, but even though I prefer Hilton to Amendola, I think I'd still have to take Amendola and a pick four rounds earlier than Hilton.
BOLD PICKS FOR 2013 A. Rodgers outscores D. Brees in ESPN standard scoring by 40+. D. McFadden plays 16 games (but ineffectively for someone whose only problem we always assumed was health). M. Lynch=not a Top 10 RB. V. Cruz=Top 7 WR. G. Tate=Top 36 WR.
yeah keep colston in the third and dont keep amendola in the 12th... just kidding
I agree with the consensus, Amendola in the 12th is great value, and Dez in the third is still about one round of value, plus I think he is a first round talent and the second best fantasy receiver. Contrary to popular belief I rank him ahead of AJ Green and Marshall, but obviously behind Calvin.
