Look at Brady's numbers prior to 2007 (which happens to be the time the Patriots got serious about surrounding him with weapons)...
2001-2006 (seasons in which he was the starter) 3593 yards passing, 24.5 TD, 13 INT per season average
2007-2012 (excluding 2008 when he missed basically the whole season) 4633 yards passing, 37.4 TD, 5 INT per season average
Banking on a top 10 season (let alone top 5) from Tom Terrific when he's throwing to the JV team is a bad bet IMO.
Especially considering the depth at the position.
