Which WR to take at #2?

Postby Brady82 » Tue Aug 13, 2013 8:38 am

Draft is this Sunday night. My 3 keepers are listed in my roster below, so it's obvious I need to go WR ...and the best WRs were also kept. Sitting with the second pick, do I take DThomas (Denver's, was also on my championship team last year) or Fitzy (who's supposed to bounce back BIG TIME)?

:-D ;-D

Thanks, guys!!

Btw - Andre Johnson's also available, but is getting old in my book. Leaning towards getting DThomas backon my roster since he helped me win my 4th title. :-D :-B

need roster restrictions to give you 100% answer. If you have a flex spot or can start a 3rd RB, not sure I'd say it's obvious you need to go WR.

Out of those 3, I would take D Thomas. He has Peyton throwing to him and with the addition of welker, he will get less attention from the D. Also, you could think about Jimmy Graham to pair with Brees if he is still on the board.

I would say Thomas and it's not even close. If you were 50/50 on the issue between Thomas and Fitz, the fact that it is a dynasty league should be enough to sway your decision.

Other reasons that hopefully help sway your decision:

The NFC west is loaded on defense this year. Seattle's ability to cover, San Francisco can put pressure on at will, and St. Louis has one of the best front 7 in the league if not the best. Combine that with Arizona's inability to keep the quarterback standing and the fact that Palmer does not have mobility as one of his strengths, I find it hard to believe Arizona won't struggle this year.

In my opinion the addition of Welker hurts only Decker's value and may actually help Thomas reach better numbers. They are a team that is going to win and their window is the next 2 years. They play Oakland and San Diego a combined 4 times. That in itself should leave you salivating.

Take Thomas and enjoy the ride

I actually like Fitz this year with his new quarterback. Fitz could challenge for overall top WR spot by year end. I actually think Thomas' numbers come down a bit this year considering that Peyton has Welker and Decker to throw to as well.

Just my two cents.
