Hey all, just drafted a 12 team ppr league....had the 8th pick in the draft.....any thoughts/concerns/help?

QB: Colin Kaepernick
RB: C.J Spiller
RB: Alfred Morris
WR: Victor Cruz
WR: Steve Smith (The good steve smith....carolina, lol)
Flex: Stephen Ridley
TE: Antonio Gates
D/ST: Vikings
Kicker: Phil Dawson

An impressive squad! I like your RB depth, and I like that you weren't afraid to pull the trigger on Ridley and Morris back to back.

However, because you did that, you cost yourself at WR2. I think Smith is good, but doesn't offer the TD upside nor the massive PPR catch season that some others may. I don't think it's going to hamstring you, but I'd just file that position away as worth improving in the future. Nice job pairing Cruz with him, though. You have a steady Smith with the upside of Cruz- a combo I am a fan of, rather than having two steady guys or two boom or bust guys.

Minor quibble, but I do not have high hopes for either Williams or Franklin. If there are better lottery tickets on the wire, I'd take a shot at them, or just keep these 2 in mind as your first cuts when the inevitable week 1 waiver player goes off and you want to make a claim.
