Sorry I am not whatching the game but going by the stats and this guy can't play. Flutie made that team look better ( for what ever that is worth) . Drew makes boston look bad as well. Big hate on for this guy

San Diego has killed the last 2 QBs they've drafted.

I think Ryan Leaf did that by himself.

Really, was a lot expected out of Brees when they took him? Remember, this is the draft that they traded the #1 overall pick to ATL so they could take LT.

I think that Marty has killed Brees as much as anything.

Brees was the first overall in the 2nd round and the #2 QB selected in the draft so they expected him to be their guy for years to come I'd say. Still LT for Vick straight up (ignoring Tim Dwight, Reche Caldwell and the other drafts San Diego got out of the trade) worked out for both sides I think.

For some reason, I was thinking Brees was taken in the 5th or 6th round, so my apologies there.

That trade was one that worked out very well for both teams.

It's probably pretty safe to say that Doug "Heisman in 1950" Flutie does not represent the future for the San Diego Chargers football franchise. Drew Brees had a decent year in 2003, and Brees was the least of what went wrong with them this year. Given LaDanian's numbers today, and many previous weeks, I've been sitting here tearing my hair out and thinking, "yeah, okay, right up there with Priest, Ahman, and Deuce would be LaDanian as potential number one picks on next year's fantasy draft." Were I to utilize my first round pick on LT2, as I did this year, I'd certainly be hoping that Drew Brees, and not Flutie, some rookie, or some free agent, would be the Bolts starting quarterback.
