Apparently great minds just go with the fantasy scoring leaders too...
Just kidding, but it is kind of easy to just go with the best players. I think the way Minnesota is playing right now could mean that Moss won't be as good next year. The way he played at beginning of the season was suprisingly good, even for Moss, and though he's still putting up big fantasy stats he's been regressing a bit as fars as effort and such.
If Manning once again goes home without a playoff win, it could be a blow to the team (though he's still my top/second choice for next year)... I still like Gonzo... who knows if Holmes will continue to hold up next year... Wilkins is having a good year, but it would have taken a lot of foresight to draft him this year... NE is likely to be even better next year...
I guess my only point is that it's easy to get caught up in the previous years stats and draft around that. I was lucky and had no idea about last year's fantasy stats when I drafted my first team this year and based my choices solely on two and three-year old football video games (Moss, Gonzo, Holt, CPep, and Stephen Davis were all nasty at some point in the NFL2k series)... I think the most important rounds in the draft are 4-7, when you have to decide whether someone like Jamal Lewis or Stephen Davis is better than Antowain Smith, and whether it's worth using a high pick to get someone like Gonzo or the NE defense.
