14 team PPR - Please look - WHIR!

Postby doromo » Sat Aug 31, 2013 2:12 am

I was 4th round. Here is my team. Any thoughts or players I should watch out for in terms of sucking? This is our first 14 team season. Last year was 12, the year before 10. This draft was hard! RB's went out the door in 1 1/2 rounds. 1st and 2nd pick was J. Charles and R. Bush.

STARTER:
Matt Ryan, Atl QB
Jamaal Charles, KC RB
Reggie Bush, Det RB
Torrey Smith, Bal WR
Dwayne Bowe, KC WR
Danny Amendola, NE WR
Zach Sudfeld, NE TE
Bengals D/ST D/ST
Blair Walsh, Min K

BENCH:
Carson Palmer, Ari QB
Michael Floyd, Ari WR
Mike Tolbert, Car RB
Daniel Thomas, Mia RB
Coby Fleener, Ind TE

QB 9.5 - should have a big year and solid backup

RB 8 - your starters are great in and league size. They will carry you far in a 14man league. Your backups however are nonexistent. I assume in a 14 man league that will happen but i dont see either producing anything

WR 9.5 - once again your starters are good for any league size and i like your backup. Need 1 more tho

TE 10 - i think he's a top 5 TE this year. Love the value

Overall 9 - i never played in a 14 man league so I would imagine things are scare. But i love your starting line up. My biggest concern is that you need another wr (drop ben) and keep searching for better rbs for the bench

Good luck

Your starters look excellent to me for a 14 team league! I'm a Bush believer this year (especially in PPR) with all the receptions he'll get in DET. At WR you seem pretty good. None of the elite #1's but all of your top 3 should get a high number of targets (so hopefully high receptions). If you can find a way to add more depth at RB, that'd take your team to another level though. Just be on the look out for those Sproles/Woodhead type RBs that can pop up mid-season make it to the waiver wire and try to capitalize on it. If healthy though, I think you have yourself a solid playoff contender.

Check out my team for me too?

Thanks for the feed back!

Yeah, the first two rounds about 18 RB's were taken.

My order this year was:
1. RB
2. RB
3. QB
4. WR
5. WR
6. WR
7. QB
8. D/ST
9. TE
10. K
11-14 crap

By the 5th round there were no RB's to be had. Total crud, some 3rd but mostly 4th tier (which is like 3rd starting) with 14 teams picking them.

Right now the waivers are slim pickings. My byes are week 8-10 so I'm hoping people will come out of the ranks and I will grab them when I can.

Here is my bench and I will list the top three RB's and WR's on my waviers. Please help if you think I should drop and switch...

BENCH:
Carson Palmer, Ari QB
Michael Floyd, Ari WR
Mike Tolbert, Car RB
Daniel Thomas, Mia RB
Coby Fleener, Ind TE

RB:
Mikel Leshoure, Det RB
Pierre Thomas, NO RB
Jonathan Stewart*, Car RB

WR:
Justin Blackmon, Jac WR
Andre Roberts, Ari WR
Santana Moss, Wsh WR
Darrius Heyward-Bey, Ind WR [Recent News]

Any of these look good?
