10 team PPR, will I repeat? WHIR

Postby jmog » Sat Aug 31, 2013 8:06 pm

I just got home from our live draft, VERY old league (back to about 1995).

Consider the scoring PPR with these exceptions.
QBs get 1 pt every 5 yards rushing instead of every 10
TEs get 1 pt every 5 yards receiving instead of every 10 as well as 10 pt for TD instead of 6.

10 team league, large benches.

Starters
QB-Michael Vick
RB-Maurice Jones Drew
RB-DeMarco Murray
WR-Calvin Johnson
WR-Larry Fitzgerald
TE-Tony Gonzalez
K-Blair Walsh
D-Chicago

Bench
QB-Josh Freeman
QB-Terrelle Pryor
RB-Lamar Miller
RB-Ben Tate
WR-Reggie Wayne (could start over MJD/Murray if need be)
WR-Tavon Auston
WR-Kenny Britt
TE-Fred Davis
K-David Akers
D-Atlanta

Yes, we have to have at least 1 backup at all positions, even kickers.

Love your WRs and Gonzalez with that scoring system. Vick could be a stud with that scoring as well. Good thought taking all running QBs. Wayne for depth is awesome but I feel you could have done a little better at RB. I love their potential, but not much for guarantees with the injury bug they've carried. I'd think about trying to deal one of them and a WR for a top 5 RB.

If Murray and MJD stay healthy, I say you got a playoff team.

Your team has great depth, if Vick, MJD, Murray, Fitz all have bounce backs you have a good chance.

WR's are really strong with Fitz/Megatron/Wayne. Your RB's will be good depending on many factors. Murray has to stay healthy as usual and Miller has to live up to the hype. Also MJD has to prove he's the same MJD he's always been. Gonzo is always a reliable TE to have, so I really like that pick-up. Overall your team looks very solid. Good job drafting.

Nice job overall. You seemed to draft well to the scoring system, and you have a strong bench. I personally would probably try to move some assets like Wayne and L. Miller or Murray for a solid RB1. Also, not really sold on the Vick revival so you could also think about trading for maybe someone like Cam maybe. Thanks for help on mine.

All about how MJD and Murray perform IMO. Maybe try and package one of them and Wayne to upgrade.

With that scoring system i like ur QB and TE alot if vick can stay healthy (IF). The downside to ur team is u have alot of players that have been injury prone, if they can hold up, your teams flying but the odds are against vick, murray and Mjd...gl

I agree with this. You've already had a ton of people weigh in. I think DeMarco will stay healthy this year. Overall your WR and RB are solid and, as already mentioned, Gonzales on that scoring is a great pickup.

My issue is with the QBs. I'm down on both Freeman and Pryor, I don't think either are the answer at their teams. Vick is great, so I think your main success depends on him staying healthy more than a player like DeMarco Murray.
