Hey guys, so I did 2 drafts this year. Honestly, I like both and acknowledge my weaknesses on both rosters, so I need you to tell me if I am having tunnel vision, only looking for the good in my squads. Critique me, tear me apart, and show no mercy. Be honest!
Both leagues PPR scoring (rushing & receiving: 10 yds =1 point, td = 6 points. Passing: 20 yds = 1 point, td = 4)
Team 1 (12 team PPR, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex, 1 TE, 1 P/K, 1 Def):
STARTERS QB Matt Ryan RB Alfred Morris RB Ryan Mathews WR Dez Bryant WR Wes Welker TE Brandon Myers FLEX James Jones D/ST Cardinals K Stephen Gostkowski
BENCH Bench T.Y. Hilton, Ind WR Bench Matt Schaub, Hou QB Bench Mike Williams, TB WR Bench Packers D/ST Bench Danny Woodhead, SD RB Bench Jeremy Kerley, NYJ WR Bench Tyler Eifert, Cin TE Bench Marcel Reece, Oak RB Bench Mikel Leshoure, Det RB
Team 2: (PPR, 2 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 Def, 1 P/K) (I understand my QB situation is a bit lacking for a 2QB league, but I have great feeling about Smith/Dalton and think that my RBs and WRs may mitigate that):
STARTERS QB Andy Dalton QB Alex Smith RB Ray Rice RB Trent Richardson WR Brandon Marshall WR Larry Fitzgerald WR Reggie Wayne TE Martellus Bennett FLEX Daryl Richardson ????? D/ST Bengals K Blair Walsh
BENCH Bench Montee Ball, Den RB Bench Josh Freeman, TB QB Bench Chris Givens, StL WR Bench Denarius Moore, Oak WR Bench Ben Tate, Hou RB Bench Jermaine Gresham, Cin TE IR Rob Gronkowski, NE TE
Team 1. RBs are weak. Matthews/woodhead will be better when Mathews gets hurt. Reece may see action when McFadden goes down but hes still not very good on a bad team. Leshoure isnt even the backup
Team 2. Your qb situation is very bad. From my experience, you live and die by the qb in 2 qb leagues and both of yours are weak. I wouldn't want either starting in a 1 qb league let alone a 2. Id grab ej manual if he is available. I think he will surprise people and have a very good year for a rookie. Or try to trade for atleast one legitimate starting qb
Thanks for weighing in on mine. I would be more concerned with team 2. I agree that the qb situation is critical, and yours just are not anything to write home about. I would work on a trade right now before the season starts to grab a better qb. If it's ppr, go after Stafford.
PPR for QB, RB, WR; 1 pt. per 10 yds.; 6 pt. TD; 1 pt. per 15 return yds. QB: Rodgers, Stafford RB: McCoy, Foster WR: Cobb, Cruz TE: Bennett W/R: Spiller Bench: Edelman, Gordon, Garcon, Gronk, SJax, Fitzpatrick, Woodhead
Team 1 you're pretty stacked on your WR's. Love most of them especially Dez, Welker, T.Y., and Kerley (cause I'm a Jets fan. ) Because you're so stacked on WR's, your RB's are a bit lacking, but Marcel Reece should be a bit of a sleeper as he does catches a lot of passes. And Woodhead could be a nice find if/when Ryan Mathews gets hurt.
Team 2 as you said, your two QB's are mediocre, but hopefully it won't hurt you as much. You certainly may make it up in the skill players you have with Rice, TRich, Marshall, Fitzy, and Wayne. Dunno about Richardson at FLEX. I think I like Ball better if he does indeed get the Broncos' RB job. Your bench is okay, I especially like Chris Givens and when Gronk comes back, your team should be even more dangerous.
Team 1- My favorite QB for this year, so that's great Rb, not as sold on, Morris should be great, but Mathews, only good if he stays healthy. Not much there to back them up, though if Matthews gets hurt, Woodhead's value will obviously increase, so good insurance there. WR's are good, but not great, taking inot consideration the backups you have. If your starting 2 stay on the field all season, you should be in good shape. Overall, a decent team, you should be in the playoffs, but I don't think this is a championship team.
Team 2- As all have said, QB is weak. In a league with 1 QB, I think you'd be fine, but with 2 stating QB's, you should upgrade one of them. I feel that Dalton's going to have the better year, so I'd say try to package Smith with Tate to the Foster owner? I think the rest of your starters are solid, and that explains your weak QB situation. Maybe you could get by with the 2 QB's you have, but that's a pretty big gamble, IMO. Not real happy with your bench here, either, but the starters are called starters for a reason.
