Because my league pays the most for most points at the end of the season, I didn't spend the money for a stud at any position. There is still money for H2H wins though, so help me pick my lineup for week 1
10 Man Most Points league w/ H2H QB - A. Luck, J. Freeman, Big Ben, RB - L. Miller, SJax, F. Gore, A. Morris, De. Williams WR - D. Amendola, V. Cruz, M. Wallace, R. Broyles, G. Olsen, J. Finley D/ST - Cowboys, Steelers K- M. Prater, M. Nugent
QB - Both Luck and Freeman have awesome matchups. I'm leaning towards Luck against the Raiders. RB - Miller against Cleveland is probably the best matchup. Alf vs. Eagles, SJax vs. Saints, Gore vs. Pack, Williams vs. Seahawks. I'm thinking Miller and Morris for this week. WR (TE Counts as WR) - Amendola vs. Bills is a no brainer. For WR2, I'm leaning towards Wallace vs. Browns, but think that Cruz should be pretty nice against Dallas since he was normal at practice today.
Looking for my good friends here to give their opinions.
Your RB's look pretty solid. I am not a fan of Miller. I would go with Morris and SJAX. For WR I would go with Cruz and Amendola. If you have a flex, I would go with Miller, Gore, or Wallace in that order. You might wait a few weeks to see the trends and work a deal for a stud if your league allows that. If Amendola goes down (as he has every year), you will be in trouble.
I would go for Luck, he should get a ton of points in the first half against a poor Raiders team. Sjax against Saints, and Alfred Morris against Eagles are no brainers in my mind for pts. I dont think you can ask for 2 better matchups against poor defeneses, both the saints and eagles are offense oriented and concentrate on scoring more than the other team instead of stopping the other team. Week 1 for your WR's is tough, I would go with Amendola while he is still in one piece, and Cruz as long as he practices fully this week, and if not I would actually go with Finley. Finley looked good in the preseason, and Wallace could be great, but never know until he plays a game or 2 in the new offense.
I hate starting good players in new offenses, great players in new offenses is different, but good players you never know with.
I agree with the other posts and would start Luck, Morris, SJax, Amendola, & Cruz. SJax is finally on a good offense and the Falcons passing attack will benefit him greatly. As for Cruz, just keep an eye on him and if he has a good week of practice he is a must start. Now with Hakeem Nicks healthy, defenses cant focus on Cruz as much.
I would go with Alfred Morris and you gotta love SJAX vs the Saints.
Cruz and Amendola is a no brainer for me. Wallace will be locked down in tight coverage and it sounds silly to me to start TEs over WRs. Broyles... high upside guy but I want to see it first... those passes are going to Megatron and Bush... and then you're left with Burleson, Pettigrew, and Broyles to fight for the rest.
Luck vs Oakland is about as good a matchup as you can ask for. Yes Freeman has a good matchup too, but Luck is a far better QB.
QB: Go with Luck. He has a great matchup and is the best QB of your bunch. RB: Morris is a stud, so he's in for sure. At RB2, I think I'd go with SJax. There are gonna be a ton of points in the Falcons/Saints game. WR/TE: Amendola and Cruz for sure. I wouldn't touch Wallace with a 10-foot pole until he proves to me that he can put up numbers in the Miami offense.
