So the guy didnt know which players were off limits or he's just using that as a credible excuse. Either way you guys screwed up by not shoving the list of players down his throat. If he was telling the truth then this situation sucks for everyone.

We don't know for sure if he really didn't know. He was actually the one that initiated it. He got pissed when the other coaches released their players. That's what prompted the commish to set that rule. All 4 teams in the playoffs agreed. Including him.

One good thing happened. You figured out who not to invite back next year.

Oh, make sure that you write down your rules next year and that non-playoff teams are specifically locked from making any roster moves in the playoffs.

it seems that this might have been more of a 'gentleman's agreement' rather than an official rule.

if that is the case, i suggest posing the issue back to the owner, hey, this is a genltleman's agreement that you initiated....maybe he will do the right thing.
