waiver priority: dallas DEF or julian edelman? WHIR

Postby unkle » Tue Sep 10, 2013 9:03 am

in 12 team H2H yahoo league with standard categories

dallas gave up big plays to eli but generated turnovers and i figure have better upside compared to steelers

julian edelman, would have to drop a running back and i would use him at flex. concerned about gronk returning and taking away, but could get a lot of points in short term.

also looking at kellen winslow as maybe an upgrade at TE as i fear eifert will take receptions from gresham

as always WHIR

QB Russell Wilson
WR AJ Green
WR Victor Cruz
RB CJ Spiller
RB Frank Gore
TE Jermaine Gresham
Flex Antonio Brown
K Garrett Hartley
DEF Pittsburgh

Bench
RB Giovani Bernard
RB Ben Tate
RB Ben Jarvus Green Ellis
RB Mark Ingram
RB Bilal Powell
RB Knowshon Moreno
please help with my team, WHIR

I would add some WR depth by picking up Edelman and dropping an RB, since you have so many.

As a Cowboys fan, I can tell you their defense isn't going to produce a lot of turnovers like that throughout the year. The entire year last year in the old scheme they only had 16. That game was a fluke.

I'd drop Powell for Edelman given your roster. No question.

it was teh OLD scheme, you can't say what the NEW scheme is till you see it for more than one game.... but in one game it looked good.

I would add edleman first, then play the WW defense game, there are better D matchups then what dallas and pitt have this week.

agreed with the above, I'd add Edelman, though I'd probably drop BJGE.. not sure why he got so many carries, Gio looked much better on his 5 touches...I'd assume they will start to get him more involved in the offense. Also, for and upgrade at TE, if Julius Thomas is available I'd take him over Winslow. DST you can just put last in the list, if you dont get the one you want, odds are theyre are a few on the WW that will be a good match up unless youre league likes to roster 2 DST's..

Yes - get Edelman first.

Not huge on Winslow but agree that you could use upgrade.

I'd drop Ingram first.

I don't think you need to use a waiver priority on a defense, Edelman probably has more upside than a defense. You may end up being able to just pick up the Dallas D without using your waiver priority on them.
