Ridley or Wilson, better trade target?

Postby petrieslastword » Tue Sep 10, 2013 9:29 am

The same team in my league has both these RBs, so I'm thinking he'd be open to a lowball trade, but am not entirely sure who the better target is. Thoughts? Ideas of what I might offer? It is a .5PPR League. WHIR
Here's our squads:

Me:

QB Matthew Stafford
WR Larry Fitzgerald
WR Vincent Jackson
WR Wes Welker
RB Trent Richardson
RB Steven Jackson
W/R/T Eddie Lacy
K Adam Vinatieri
DEF New England
BN Greg Jennings
BN Bilal Powell
BN Josh Gordon
BN Matt Schaub
BN Robert Woods
(Buf - WR)Player Note
BN Kendall Hunter
BN Riley Cooper

Him

QB Colin Kaepernick
WR Brandon Marshall
WR James Jones
WR Cecil Shorts
RB Doug Martin
RB Stevan Ridley
TE Fred Davis
W/R/T David Wilson
K Phil Dawson
DEF Tampa Bay
BN Vincent Brown
BN Bernard Pierce
BN Andy Dalton
BN Kendall Wright
BN Cordarrelle Patterson
BN San Francisco

I appreciate any and all input. WHIR. Thank you!

I would target Ridley. They are both in the doghouse for fumbling but we have already seen what Ridley can do. Wilson is still an unproven commodity. Now that Vereen is out for a while the Pats will have no other choice but to turn to Ridley to shoulder the load.

I like Ridley as well, he has a more direct path towards getting his job back.. would not suprise me at all if the Giants signed Jacobs and Wilson was relegated to spot duty till Andre Brown comes back..

As for what to give, his WR's look like their in bad shape, I'd offer up Jennings, you'll have Gordon back next week so Jennings is pretty much expendable IMO

help with mine?

i would add that vereen has a broken wrist and ridley is their only option and he has produced in the past.

wilson has had problems since last year and the giants are looking at other RBs although is suspect its RB for short distance yardage to take TDs. wilson looked bad and while i thin he might get carries between the 20s i think he's out in the red zone.

i think wilson has good upside though and you might get him for jennings. ridley was drafted a round higher than wilson and doesnt have a handcuff so the cost will be more.

thanks for you help with mine
please help with my team, WHIR

You have to go for Wilson here imo.

Ridley didn't have nearly as bad of a game as Wilson despite being thrown into the doghouse. Vereen is going to be out for a long time, so Ridley will get his carries - this will boost his trade value up.

Wilson's value is still low, I mean he really had an absolute terrible game, he got benched by a team that has no other notable RBs. They're even looking at free agents to bring in. I think Wilson holders are more worried than Ridley ones for sure, so I would low ball him.

Not to mention his ADP is lower than Ridleys, owners will be more willing to part with him.
