Danny Amendola - Out Thursday

Postby tclangham » Tue Sep 10, 2013 12:26 pm

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Amendola is almost certain to be ruled out because of the groin injury he suffered in the first half of Sunday's 23-21 win over the Buffalo Bills, according to a source informed of his injury. The fifth-year pass-catcher left the field against Buffalo before returning to lineup, but Amendola wasn't present at the Patriots' walkthrough Tuesday, per NFL Media's Albert Breer.

I lost Vareen and now have this and Roddy White to deal with. The Patriots are weird. He practiced a little today so Im crossing my fingers. He missed almost 2 quarters when Edelman caught 2 TD's in his place. That would be the guy to have if he doesnt play for sure.

The guy is made out of glass is injured all the time. Pats will be lucky to even get 12 games out of him every year.

Heck of a player, just never really healthy

Hate that he's got the health issues for his own sake. From a selfish fantasy owner point of view, this guy is worth so much less than his gameday productions suggest (when he plays). He's one of those rare fantasy players who really is injured all the time, like McFadden or Percy Harvin. Maybe he'll shake it somehow, but it's been going on far too long to be a fluke. Just think about how the patriots feel, who invested a whole lot more than a $50 for a fantasy league fee in the guy. I was dumb enough to rely on him as a WR1, on the theory that maybe the injury thing was overblown and a fluke (remember when Stafford or Denaruys Thomas were injury prone?). I think Amendola can produce as a WR1 when he plays, but it looks like that may be half the time, or less.

i knew i wasn't getting full season out of Amendola when i drafted him, but i didn't expect it to come so fast, injury after first game was a little too early.
luckily he is just my WR3 and TY Hilton starts to pick things up.

think him as your secret weapon, and use him only when he is healthy, but don't expect him to be your regular starter.
