Your take on CLE and IND player value - T-Rich Trade

Postby Chaoyi Shih » Thu Sep 19, 2013 9:50 am

T-Rich to Colts is one of the most surprising news since season starts and everyone is talking about T-Rich
However, this trade should also affect other players from CLE and IND (J.Gordon, C.Jordon, TY Hilton, R.Wayne...etc)

I would like to hear your opinion on players that's effected by T-Rich trade besides T-Rich himself.

I think a downgrade is in-order for all Cleveland pass catchers. Brian Hoyer? Really? Cleveland is tanking the season and I wouldn't be surprised to see Joe Thomas traded as well.

I think the Colts receivers will be okay but I don't see Luck throwing as much as he did last year. I think Luck will be extremely efficient, Wanye and TY will get theirs but not sure how much the Colts will throw once Richardson gets into the fold.

Its a great trade now for the Colts, their draft pick is likely to be later in the first, so they addressed a major need (albeit with a player who also has injury concerns) without over hurting the team. Should help take pressure off of Luck and may open up passing game as D's may be forced to commit more resources to stopping T-Rich.
The Browns are in massive rebuild mode now. I applaud them at least recognizing their QB isn't going to work and making a clean break. For a team that has as many holes to fill, the draft pick adds to an impressive collection and gives new ownership the chance to take team in new direction. Gordon returning will help Hoyer's pass game, but not having proven run game will make life miserable for whoever lines up behind center. Not sure how the players will react, except to say I would have a hard time imagining they wouldn't give their all to keep their jobs.
Feel awful for Browns fans, they get whatever shred of hope for this season torn away. Its not quite loading the bus and trucking to Baltimore in the middle of the night, but has to sting. Hang in there Browns fans, turning a team around is not a long term task if the new management is competent.

I think, therefore I am. I think fantasy, therefore I am unreal?
