What the hell was Shanahan thinking running portis so much is what I wanna know. they were in field goal positions like six plays before he got hurt. But no they had to get the ball to the 8 yard line? elam could have kicked it farther than that lefty. wtf was going through his mind?

Would you also be one of the people who were complaining earlier in the year because they did not ive the ball to him enough?

Well, regardless of too muh ball or too little - I'm in the FF superbowl for my league and just need him to get the ball. I have a bad feeling he will play but get a lot of rest being spelled by Mike Anderson.

I wish they would just say whether or not he is playing. That way I would know. I don't want to wait and have him in for him to sit there watching Mike Anderson get all the carries. I think I won't play Mike anyways though.

Guest - hindsite is always 20/20. At this point it really doesn't matter. It's the fantasy football gods playing around with your superbowl chances. What matters is that we must deal the hand that was given us. I'm in the superbowl and Portis has been my #1 back all year. He missed a few games earlier due to injury and I still made it. So, regroup anylize the match-ups and get on the ww for replacements. I'm playing T.Jones - Tampa.

Zimm, I know what your saying but Shanahan has been tricky all year. You know as well as I that he will wait til the last minute to declare. I can't wait that long with the Saturday games.

I'm starting Bennett (assuming he has no setbacks) insead of Portis. With Portis or Anderson, it seems like a crapshoot. It will probably end up being a game time decision, in which case Portis/Anderson could get you zero.

I don't like the timeslot for the game this weekend for Portis's playing time. If Miami loses in Buffalo and Cincy loses in St. Louis, the Broncos are in the playoffs. All this could be done before game time. Additionally, the Titans will likely have beaten Houston making the 5th seed tough for Denver to get.

I think theres a good chance for all this, and if so why rush Portis for the very outside chance to draw Cincy/Baltimore instead of Indy?

Of course, a Miami win could cause the opposite effect too, so this one is going to take some luck just guessing correctly if he gets alot of carries Sunday

I have made my decision to bench both of them. I am going to drop Anderson. I agree, Shanahan is impossible to predict and he always waits until the last minute. With the Saturday games I can't afford to wait.

Me too. Bennett will be rested and going against a BAD KC run D this week. Edge and Bennett should do well for me.

should i start portis? because i have duece and portis and he has edge and davis. davis is most likely out so should i take my chances with leaving portis in there so that if portis dosnt play its duece vs edge. im pretty sure that he wont sub for davis because he dose almost no looking around for whos hurt. what do u think? should i put barlow in for portis or stick to clinton? the only reason im hesitating is because barlow tends to fumble and thats negative points in my league and philly's d is very agressive.
