BIG question WHIR 100%

Postby broseph jacobs » Tue Sep 24, 2013 8:28 pm

My roster is in my signature. STANDARD scoring, 12-team league.

1. There is an owner in my league completely frustrated with his team. He placed both Marshawn Lynch and Hakeem Nicks on the trading block (and two other players I have no interest in). Should I try to trade for either? And, if so, what offer(s) should I start with?

2. At 1-2 I have first waiver claim tomorrow morning. Here are my options: KC defense, RB Snelling, WR Thompkins, WR Avery. Savvy owners; not too many options. So with the #1 waiver claim I do have options if I were to trade away 2 WRs or 2 RBs or something. If not, I am leaning towards scooping up the Chiefs DST.

3. My main problem, imo, is my lack of a true WR1. This frustrated guy with Marshawn on the trading block also has Larry Fitz and Randle Cobb, albeit not on the block. Should I target them? Here is his roster:
QB: Alex Smith, Andy Dalton
RB Franklin, Lacy, Turbin, Lynch
WR: Fitz, Cobb, Hicks, Hopkins
TE: Finley, Celek
PK: Gost, DST BUF

Thanks. Absolutely will WHIR 100%.

He desperately needs a qb. I would offer something like Romo, Hilton, and Ridley for Lynch and Cobb/Fitz. I know it seems like your giving up alot but Romo would really help you get a top wr or rb from him since hes in desperate need for a qb. Thats the type of offer i would give. bc your upgrading your rb from Ridley to Lynch, and Cobb/fitz over Hilton. Romo will never start for your team. unless you want to keep romo and trade your other qb. Thats the way i would go and see what happens.

please help with mine..

Perhaps Cam and Ridley for the two of them? If not maybe cam and gio. I would take Chiefs D, they are looking strong and the offense is controlling the ball well.

Not a bad idea, but two problems:
1. He dropped Romo last week (why?!?), which is how I got him
2. Cam is on a bye this week, and I really need a win to get back to 2-2. If I trade Romo, there is almost nobody on the wire at QB for me this week.

So you're saying Cam Newton and Stevan Ridley for Randall Cobb and Larry Fitz?
- I don't think he'll be willing to trade both of his top WR's
- I don't think I'm ready to trade Newton; Mike Shula has learned his lesson and Cam is here to stay
- I wouldn't mind trading Ridley.

Are are you saying Hicks and Lynch?
- I like this better, and he's way more likely to do it
- I just feel like the downgrade at Q is too much for me

I was saying option 2. its about making your team better, which I think this does. Unfortunately you gotta give a little to get some, and Lynch is a first round pick that I would be surprised if he would give up without a player like Cam.

i would see if he would bite on cam- hilton or ridley, possibly J.Bell hes been a solid play as of late, in a deal for lynch and a wr of your choosing

I really like that previous suggestion of Lynch and Nicks for Cam and Ridley. Getting out from under the uncertainly in NE in favor of an elite talent is worth the downgrade at QB. Plus, the NFC East looks to be just terrible this year, Romo should have some huge division games, including a matchup with the lowly 'Skins D during week 16.
