Owner has gone missing...

Postby Ross635 » Thu Oct 10, 2013 1:53 pm

I run a 12 team league. All friends or people I know. This is our 4th year.
One of the owners had some family and medical issues all happen right before our draft. He autodrafted a good team and bench. So far this season he has gone 4-1 with that autopicked team however I hadn't heard from him in about 3 or 4 weeks now and was starting to get worried. Now I can't get ahold of him or his wife AT ALL!! This is the first week he has any injuries or byes. I looked back at history and so far in the first 5 weeks he has made no roster changes or waiver pick-ups so I am pretty sure his team has been running on ghost pilot. That being said, they are my friends and typically very reliable and trust worthy. If they are off the grid then it is for some major stuff.

So my question is, what to do with his team?

I am pretty sure I am going to put it to vote with these 3 options;
A) Let his team ride as is. Total luck of the draw who plays him at full team or not.
B) Step in and switch out his bye week players using only his bench. no waivers.
C) Designate an outside league co-owner.

Any Advice?

I would let it go the first week. If he still isn't heard from, I would go with option B.
