Joique Bell or McGahee in PPR? WHIR

Postby beezer » Sat Oct 12, 2013 2:19 pm

Need one of these guys to start alongside LeVeon Bell. Cleveland's front seven is pretty stout and Bush hogs most of the touches for Detroit. On the other hand, McGahee is still rounding into shape but Detroit can be run on. I love Bell but am leaning towards McGahee in this matchup. Any thoughts?

Gotta err on the side of touches here and roll with McGahee, IMO.

Thanks for the help with mine.

I think the safe pick is McGahee. Det has allowed 5 rushing TDs this season. The Browns try to control the clock as well. Help with mine please: viewtopic.php?t=541567

Got to go Mcgahee here. I just don't see bell getting enough touches to be worth the start

I would definitely play McGahee. DET is so much better at home and on fast surface. I don't see Bell having many scoring opportunities in this one, and his touches will be limited. McGahee will get 20 touches.

Has to be McGahee. He may not get many yards per carry, but Weeden is going to lean on him bigtime to get some breathing space. If this wasn't a PPR I would probably still say McGahee, but PPR is a no-brainer - unless Reggie Bush is struck by lightning or something.

Unless Bush is out, Bell's value is limited. McGahee is the bona fide starter. He will get more touches.

yeah, it's definitely mcgahee because bush is all systems go today, which means that you can't guarantee touches for bell. mcgahee should be a solid ~8-12pt back going forward, akin to what BGJE aka lawfirm was last year for cincinnati. i'm getting that arizona cardinals running back kind of vibe, you know how over the last few years there's been a good handful of ~6-7 weeks where you went and grabbed beanie wells and got ~14pts out of him. i have no specific empirical reason to make that connection, as it's just a gut feeling i get when we're talking 2013 willis mcgahee of your cleveland football browns.

if there was a fantasy football revolution that allowed you to switch backs at halftime of a game, you know, covering your arse in the wake of a first half injury.... maybe then. otherwise, no.

take a look @ my thread, would ye?! viewtopic.php?f=19&t=541620
