Flex issues - WHIR

Postby leffe186 » Sat Oct 12, 2013 11:52 pm

Hi everyone,

I think I know what I'm in for this week, just a couple of things giving me pause. This is my line-up:

12-team non-PPR, non-dynasty, 0.1pts/yd, 6pts/TD (4 for QBs)
QB Cam Newton
RB Eddie Lacy
WR AJ Green
WR Josh Gordon
WR/TE Jordan Cameron
TE Julius Thomas
FLEX Darren Sproles
IDP JJ Watt
IDP Clay Matthews
D/ST Seahawks
K Steven Hauschka
Bench: Steve Smith, Joique Bell, Kenbrell Thompkins, Le'Veon Bell, Keenan Allen.

Sproles' week last week makes me a little nervous, and wonder if I'm missing a trick. Should I be starting Le'Veon or Keenan Allen at FLEX?

Sproles makes me nervous as well, especially when Pierre Thomas is getting even more pass attempts via Drew Brees. However, and this might not be the best advice (lol), but I'd stick with him. I feel like this game will have plenty of points and chances to go around, and I'm going to gamble that Sproles gets back on track. I like him more than Bell vs the Jets run D, and although Allen is coming along, I'd rather go Sproles in this instance. You might want to think about Steve Smith as well; he has a good track record against the Vikings if that means anything (104 a game average). Hope this helps;

That's great, actually, backs up what I've been thinking. I know the experts are pushing Smith too, but he has been so disappointing, and I worry that if I play Smith and Cam and they both fail (again) then I'm stuffed. I want to see a decent week from Smith before I put him back in the line-up. Thanks for the advice.

I'd say stick with Sproles for all the reasons Dallas Fan mentioned. I would however like to remind you that Clay Matthews is out for a few weeks with a broken thumb. You should see if Daryl Washington is available on the WW, just got back from suspension and killed it last week or stash Von Miller for when he gets back next week.

Sorry, I accidentally left him on there. Karlos Dansby played instead, but thanks for the heads up.
