Pick 2 WR, 1 RB, and 1 Flex (WHIR)

Postby DallasFan85 » Sun Oct 13, 2013 4:54 am

It's funny, it went from scrambling to find players to having a nice dilemma this week! I have two Receiver spots open (starting Welker in the first one), 1 RB spot, and a flex (rb/wr/te). For those four spots, choose from: Vincent Jackson, Pierre Garcon, Josh Gordon, Justin Blackmon, Cecil Shorts, Fred Jackson, DeAngelo Williams, and Garret Graham. Will help in return as always!

non-ppr 10 person yahoo.com league, starting 2 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 rb/wr/te, 1 te, 1 k, 1 def.

Qb: Peyton Manning, Tony Romo, Brandon Weeden
Rb: Ray Rice, Fred Jackson, DeAngelo Williams, Steven Jackson (out)
Wr: Vincent Jackson, Pierre Garcon, Wes Welker, Cecil Shorts, Josh Gordon, Justin Blackmon
Te: Jordan Cameron, Garrett Graham
K: Justin Tucker
Def: Kansas City

I would go with Gordon and Garcon (DAL-WSH game should be high scoring) at WR, Fred Jackson for sure at RB and Blackmon or D.Williams at that flex. Blackmon will get lots of targets and they will be throwing for 4 quarters because they are going to be behind Broncos by 2TDs by middle of 1st Q. So I think Blackmon has more upside but if you want safe go with Williams' guaranteed 6-10points.

sorry for poor syntax - writing this one-handed with my littlest on my lap! thanks for thehelp!HOw mnuch did you score last week!?

i think your only questions are whichWR to play alongside Welker and Garcon, and which FLEX. Otherwise, i agree with the last guy. Playing Blackmon/Shortd means you're hoping for some garbagetime, probably, and playng Gordon means relying on Weeden (yikes). V Jax has a nice matvhup, but poor performaces in the last couple. I'd roll with Wiliams in the FLEX as gthe safer play, and then either Blackmon or Gordon for some serious upside at WR3. Toss a coin on that one.

SO that leaves:

Rice/VJax
Welker/Garcon/Blackmon (or Gordon)
Williams
Cameron

I would play garçon and Gordon at wr, Jackson at rb. And at wr, I'd probably play shorts. I'd want Jackson to prove something before being started again. And, if want to see another game from Blackmon too. Shorts is the garbage man!

Thanks for the help all, really appreciate it. And for the question about scoring last week; I ended up scoring 221 to their 114! It's the most I've ever scored in fantasy; crazyness. The hysterical part is, I'm in fourth place, 3-2, and I have 100 points more than any other player in my league lol.
