I am thinking of sending out 2 trade offers. With Randall Cobb going down with injury I'm worried about Nelsons future value and whether or not he can handle the workload and an opposing defenses #1 cornerback. Do any of these trades make sense?
Trade #1 I give: Jordy Nelson I receive: Victor Cruz
Trade #2 I give: Jordy Nelson I receive: Wes Welker
QB- M. Ryan, T. Pryor RB- A. Morris, L. Bell, A. Ellington, C. Ivory, M. James, D. Martin WR- J. Nelson, A. Brown, J. Boykin, D. Heyward-Bey, TE- J. Graham, C. Fleener
If your league is PPR, go Welker; if standard, go Cruz. I worry about Welker's TD's tailing off a bit, but don't let that hinder you from grabbing him. Something to consider is that Nelson has already had his bye and Cruz and Welker haven't, so be prepared to absord another bye week regardless of which deal you do. It's not a deal-breaker--I like both of these options--but it's something to keep in mind.
I think I like the Cruz trade alright, but probably not the Welker trade. Nelson and Cruz are the top WRs on their teams right now, and both have QBs that will air it out (Eli will have to a whole lot if the Giants keep playing this poorly). I like Welker a lot, but not enough to give up Nelson. Welker is just more of a risk then starting Cruz or Nelson because while Welker has been Peyton's #1 so far, there are just so many weapons there that you could see some weeks where Welker falls off. I think Cruz and Nelson give you 6 to 8 points or may every week, where Welker could have a week where he gets 1 or 2 receptions for 30 yards. So I would consider doing the Cruz trade, or just stick with Nelson. Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=541750
