My AP for Lacy and Ryan - WHIR

Postby techman5003 » Wed Oct 16, 2013 9:10 am

14 team league, Non-PPR
My Roster:
QB - Eli, Freeman
RB - AP, C Johnson, Pierce, Ogbonnaya
WR - Welker, Fitz, Jennings, Hopkins, V Brown
TE - Gonzo
Def - Balt, Dallas

His Roster:
QB - Foles, Dalton, Ryan
RB - A Morris, Lacy, P Thomas, S Greene
WR - Cruz, Decker, K Allen, D Moore
TE - J Cook, H Miller
Def - Denver

Not sure I want to give up AP but I am 2-4 (lost the last 4) and need to do something. Just not sure this is it. Thinking about countering with AP for Morris and Ryan but don't know if that is better.

WIll help with yours.

I'm not opposed to your trading Peterson, but this isn't the right offer. I'm not convinced Ryan is much of an upgrade from Eli. Eli's played like crap, sure, but Ryan's offense has been crippled by injury. Lacy is good, but Lacy/CJ is a huge downgrade from AD/CJ.

A few counteroffers:
1) AD for Morris and Cruz
2) AD for Morris and Lacy
3) AD for Lacy, Cruz, and Ryan

Don't underestimate AD's trade equity.

i hate giving up the best player - and frankly not sure what Ryan will do without Jones and White - you cvan only throw to Gonzo so much....

If you are giving up the potentially best player in the league - you need to address your need - QB which this in my opinion does not do

I agree with this and would counter with any of those Delhomme just said. I like #2 but doubt he would give you both RBs for Peterson.

Lacy just got a nice up-tick from two things: 1) producing against the best (at the time) defense against fantasy RB's this past weekend, and 2) Cobb's long-term injury. AP is AP, and Lacy isn't even close (I have them #2 and #11 for the remainder of the season, respectively) but he isn't bad either. Ryan added to the mix doesn't thrill me. Yes, you need a QB1, but do you want to trade for one that is currently #11 and has lost his most potent WR for the season? Plus, Roddy is dealing with two injuries and we have yet to see what Freeman can do for Purple. Crazier things have happened than Freeman becoming a top 10 Q from here on-out. He has Patterson, Rudolph, Jennings, and Simpson to throw to, plus AP creating the stacked box. Freeman is bad, but he isn't Ponder or Cassell bad. He will get some good numbers in MIN. How good? Well, good enough where I wouldn't feel comfortable making this trade unless the "Ryan" was removed and a name like "Stafford" replaced it. Don't do this trade. Tempting as it is, he's not paying enough for Peterson.

I wouldn't do the deal as-is. You should offer AP + Eli for Ryan, Morris, and Cruz.
Remember, you could probably trade AP to ANY team in the league, and request ANY player (w/ a few exceptions).

His perceived value is even greater than his actual play (IMO)
