Offer Fitzgerald or Antonio Brown in deal for Lacy?

Postby mm92280 » Wed Oct 16, 2013 9:32 am

I am looking to upgrade my RBs in my 12 team H2H non-keeper league and I am prepping an offer where I would be giving Zac Stacy and either Larry Fitzgerald or Antonio Brown for Eddie Lacy. Lacy looks like he will be an RB1 or a high-end RB2 but his numbers have been suppressed due to missing time and I figure this week might be the last time he could be had for anything less than full RB1 price.

If you were me, would you be looking to move Larry Fitzgerald or Antonio Brown? Fitzgerald has the hamstring injury and the shaky QB play, while Brown has been a target monster in Pittsburgh. Despite that, Fitzgerald is actually still out scoring Brown slightly in standard leagues (Fitz has scored 62 points in my league and Brown has scored 60 points) due to his touchdowns. Fitz has the higher ceiling but more questions. Whichever one stays will be plugged in weekly as a WR2/WR3. So, do you keep the higher ceiling guy (Fitz) or the safer, lower ceiling guy (Brown)?

Granted, I don't know if he will accept. If he twists my arm, I will give him his choice of Stacy or Le'Veon Bell + his choice of Fitzgerald or Brown.

Here is my current team:

QB: T. Brady
QB: C. Kaepernick
RB: J. Charles
RB: T. Richardson
WR: P. Garçon
WR: J. Gordon
WR/RB/TE: A. Brown
WR/RB: L. Bell
TE: H. Miller
K: Vinatieri
DEF: SF

Bench: L. Fitzgerald
Bench: B. Weeden
Bench: M. Glennon
Bench: Z. Stacy
Bench: B. Pierce
Bench: K. Allen

Thanks!

I'd give up Fitzgerald as much I hate to say it. Palmer's bad o-line and Fitzgerald's nagging injuries are hurting his value big time. If you wanted to be risky though in hopes that Fitz gets healthly, giving up Brown isn't too bad but that's only banking on Fitz' health. Granted, I'd probably give up Fitz.

I would give up Fitz. If he doesn't miss any games, I think he & Brown will finish the season with similar numbers but there is that possibility his hamstring could linger throughout the season. Plus I like Browns remaining schedule over Fitzs'
