Calvin Johnson - healthy and worth a gamble ?

Postby Dr Answer » Wed Oct 16, 2013 10:30 am

Hi all,

I've been offered Calvin Johnson for Josh Gordon and Antonio Gates.

Have Cameron so Gates is expendable.

TD heavy league, roto.

Concern is over Johnson's health - and well - frankly - he did only have 5 TDs last year even though he was a PPR monster.

If he's healthy - I do this without thinking.....

Depends on your other WRs. Megatron is hurt but still producing. Careful with Cameron. Weeden is a mess and inconsistent.

help with mine?

Man, seems like a pretty sweet deal. IMO you can always probably deal CJ if he's not producing. His name carries weight (as you see w/ your deal).
I can't say for sure if his health will improve or get worse, so it is def a risk.
But I'd prob do it.

I would do it. Even if Calvin is limited these next 2 weeks, his bye is week 9 which would hopefully give him time to heal up for the remaining games. In those remaining games he will face the Bears, Packers, Eagles, & Giants, all of which arent the greatest pass defenses.
