I copied this off of yahoo player news from fanball.com:
Dec 18 - A team source has told Fanball publisher Paul Charchian that Stephen Davis is unlikely to play in Sunday’s game against the Lions. If he did play, it would be in a highly limited role. Further, Davis may not play in the season finale in New York on the 28th. Davis has been nursing an ankle injury for several weeks. DeShaun Foster will get the majority of the workload in Davis’ stead.
Views: If it were needed, Davis could play; but with their playoff position locked between third and fourth, there is little reason to press him into action. The source indicates that the team realizes that any expectations of advancement require Davis to be healthy.
I picked up Foster yesterday when I heard Davis might be out. I may have to use him instead of Portis this week.
