OK I just want to give the guy that said Santana Moss would be a top 15 WR at the beginning of the year some love. I think it was 9er Fan but my memory may deceive me. He was ridiculed and made fun of but stood firmly by his belief. I hate it when I do something like this and I don't get any credit so I'm just trying to do what I think is right.

Definitely a good call, but think about it: Someone had to become the #1 on that team. Chrebet was good, but still a great possession receiver and not a go-to guy. Secondly, this is Moss' third season, and from what I've seen and heard, apparently that is when players put it all together and start to break out. Sadly, when Chrebet comes back next year, I don't think he'll do quite as well as this year. I could be wrong though.

With that said, who are next year's third year breakouts? I can't remember who got drafted last year except for Portis, but he doesn't count since he's already money.

Next year's third year breakouts:
A pretty weak crop but here are my top 3.

#1: He was supposed to break out this year, but was very disappointing, a breakout player next year will be Donte Stallworth. He has blazing speed and good size, and if he works on his hands in the offseason he can be dominant.

#2: Ashley Lelie has shown flashes of brilliance, and with the demise of Rod Smith and Ed McCaffrey he can step into the #1 role next year. He also has blazing speed and he can handle his bidness.

#3: A great offensive team who looks like they will have a breakout receiver is Green Bay. Javon Walker has really bulked up and could be a David Boston-like receiver. With Driver falling off this year Walker could step up and be a serious threat.

On the cusp: Josh Reed and Jabar Gaffney

I thinking you're right about Walker. Favre has to throw his guaranteed 25 TD's to someone, and in the second half of the year it's been Walker. Lelie will most likely be good once Smith is gone. Not quite sold on Stallworth, since Brooks is still extremely inconsistent and the Saints keep killing themselves in the last quarter of the season.

Yeah, that was definitely a nice call.

I really don't buy Lelie and Stallworth for next year. They were two of the main guys that were supposed to blow up this year, and they had minimal success. But Javon Walker is promising.
