Have a league site of your own? Read on...

If you've found the Cafe helpful in spreading the word about your league, why not use your league to help spread the word about the Cafe?

You probably know this theory: if everybody in China (or another large country) jumped to their feet at the same time, the result would be a huge earthquake that could be felt all over the world.

Not long ago, I had one of those typical daydreams that only webmasters have: couldn't we stage something similar on a virtual level? What if all visitors to this site set up a link to the Cafe on their league's website? It needn't even be at the same time... You bet the resulting earthquake would be staggering!

Admittedly, it's probably just a stupid dream, but hey, that's how the Cafe started! You've already been reading this post (how can we tell? ;-) ), and you do have a website. (No point in denying it, we know you do!) So the last step is up to you: it's only a small step, and always remember, it'll be a big step for the Cafe! :-)

If you want to use a banner, feel free to take our site logo (it'll do the job):

Image

Code: Select all
<a href="http://www.fantasyfootballcafe.com/"><img src="YOUR_PATH/cafe_logo.jpg" width=215 height=120 border=0 alt="Fantasy Football Cafe"></a>

Please note that you'll have to copy the banner to your own site, hotlinking won't work. Of course, a simple text link will work as well:

Fantasy Football Cafe

Code: Select all
<a href="http://www.fantasyfootballcafe.com/">Fantasy Football Cafe</a>

Thanks for the good intentions, and happy holidays! :-)

I'm in the process of creating a fantasy football website and would definitely be interested in allowing you to advertise on our website.

Free Fantasy Football

Postby MakeSport » Sat Jul 16, 2005 8:23 pm

Ill probably end up regretting this if I crash and burn on my hopes to finish this thing, but I am currently working on a free fantasy football league manager that you are all willing to use if you want to try it out.

The key thing to mention is that I am still currently working on it, and so I cant guaruntee any quality, completeness or whatever, but I have a large chunk completed right now, and you can sign up and create a new league and have your players join on etc. But the automatic scoring is still unfinished as is some of the Admin edit sections.

But please feel free anyone to give it a shot, and in the process you can help me test it. Hell, all the negative feedback is always welcome as it is the only way I can make it better.

So check out http://www.makesport.com to create your league now, and I also threw on a link to Fantasy Football Cafe.

And one more thing, Im looking for people to write news articles for the site, if you are interested in becoming a resident Makesport.com news guy let me know, email mailto:webmaster@makesport.com
