Strategy for playoffs

Postby SuperCafone » Thu Dec 12, 2002 5:28 pm

I now its late in the season to be posting this cause usually you try to make your starting roster with the greatest possiblity of making points, at WR's I am starting Moulds and Rice. Now my rival has Tom Brady I have read that Brady will have a HUGE game against a suspect Titan defense, is playing a receiver like Patten over a top receiver like Moulds a better strategy to cover yourself from a quarterback's points? just a thought what do you think? Its playoffs and anything can be crucial.

Oh man, please do not do such a thing. Moulds starts period, between the two. Patten has never been the consistent go to guy, and even if Brady has a huge game, it would not mean that Patten would greatly benefit. Moulds may have a bad game, but I could never advise you to start Patten over him.

I think for sure you have to stick with Moulds. Brady might blow up and have a huge day, but there is no guaranteed way that would mean Patten would benefit or even partake in the action. Hell, Brady could throw for 450 yards to Branch, Brown, Fauria, Smith, etc. etc. Patten might not even get a catch!!! That's far fetched I know, but the point is start Moulds.

Agreed. If we were talking about, say, starting Driver over a slightly better receiver (not that there are many) when your opponent has Favre, that's definitely something to consider, but Patten is too much of a drop-off, and too much of a risk.

Nice strategy, though - just the wrong personnel. :-)

Thank you guys thanks for the replies it seems the strategy is a bad one so I will stick with Moulds and Rice and forget about the Patten factor!
