Unless Green does some serious detox time, I assume Suggs will be starting at the beginning of the year. Cleveland seems to like taking "hot hands" even if they aren't the safe choice.

Unless Green fails to get himself back into playing condition, physically and mentally, Suggs won't get the chance to start. But if Green slips up a bit, watch out for suggs.
He played against the cincy defense! as a fan it is hard to admit but we don't exactly have a shutdown D. Plus, he had a couple huge runs that ended up getting about half of his yards.
William Green- week 17 last season- 27 carries 178 yards and 2 TD against the Falcons
Cinci is a rival and that always looks good to the coaches and fans. He hasn't locked up the starting gig, but with that game Suggs at least earned the right to battle for the starting job. He's a solid all around back with speed and power so he could very well find himself the starter with a solid training camp and preseason.
William Green will continue to get chances as long as Butch Davis is the coach.
Hopefully the owner (whoever that is - I'm not much of a Browns fan) will step in and persuade Butch to give Suggs a few starts. I'm sure he doesn't want his team to get the reputation of the NFL's version of the Portland Trailblazers.

Suggs had a great game. How many great games did William Green have?
I agree he only had 1 good game, way to stay grounded Packer Fan.
Yes it was impressive, but it was still against the Bengals who didn't have the most fearsome run defense in the league. William Green actually had a pretty decent second half for the 2002 season. Hopefully William Green serves as a good lesson for anyone thinking of hopping on the Suggs bandwagon and drafting him in the 2nd round.
