In addition to his acceptance of a deal, Redskins sources also told SportsLine.com that Gibbs has already met with and signed former Bills head coach Gregg Williams to become his new defensive coordinator. Williams was the hottest defensive coordinator on the open market and was previously set to fly to New York on Friday to interview with new Giants coach Tom Coughlin.

he has done some nice work in the past.

I don't remember, or maybe I wasn't alive when Gibbes was the coach. Is he the kind of coach that you can trust his RB? In other words, should I draft whoever the Redskins' projected starting RB next year?

Gibb's last year was in 92. Gibbs should/will turn the team around. Give him some time to see how he handles ol danny boy and I guarantee that you'll see some changes come to that team. You'll also get a better picture as to how he runs his system.

Holy shit, I wake up to find the GREATEST news ever. Joe Gibbs, the greatest coach in Redskins history is BACK! WOOHOO!!!! Parcells, Gibbs all we need is Johnson in New York and we'd have the greatest coaching division in the history of the NFL.

As far as him and trusting RBs. Yeah he likes to run the ball, he always had good RBs there. He likes to use short yardage and goal line specialists though (drools at remembering the heavy jumbo package with Gerald Riggs).

I wonder if we can steal Russ Grimm away from the Steelers as an oline coach.
