Green went to the playoffs eight times in his 10 years with the Vikings, losing twice in the NFC Championship Game

He would be a good fit for the Cards. I don't think a team like the Bills should get him. He is a good coach if you want to rebuild, if you want to go all the way and keep him til you do he is not the guy. He is not a playoff coach. He never could get us to the Bowl and we had some really good teams.

Um, coaches get blamed for not being able to make it all the way in the playoffs all the time. Just look at Tony Dungy and the Bucs...

Coach Green is talking to Oakland and I couldn't be happier! The guy got a crap deal in Minnesota after making good competitive teams. 101-70 over 10 seasons? Considering some of the lame players he had to work with over those 10 seasons, I think the man's a genius. May he bless us with his presence here in Raider Nation.
Thank God for Football Season.

true...but look at Dungy and the Colts. it's a good mix of coaching and players responsibility when the playoffs come around. but most of the time, whether the players do well or are pathetic, it's the coach that gets strung out on the wire.

i think Green will do well wherever he lands.
