As promised, here is WR trends in a handy dandy excel made chart. Top 36 fantasy WRs (24 starters 12 backups), for the last 3 years.
With the QB trends in mind (less fantasy production, more inconsistency), the top notch were really top notch, and after that lots of mediocrity (aka drafting a top WR early is good, after that waiting is good *cough* top TE *cough*).
I think this chart shows that if you don't get a Top WR early, you should be able to wait, there looks like plenty of depth and a team owner can use the early round picks on RB's & QB's.

Take the QB for example, I thought you had listed each of the top 24 QB's with all their individual numbers for the year. Like I said its a big job to do that and I know people can get the numbers online, so no need to go to that extreme.
