3 year trends, chart style (part 2)

Postby KingGhidra » Wed Jan 07, 2004 12:51 pm

As promised, here is WR trends in a handy dandy excel made chart. Top 36 fantasy WRs (24 starters 12 backups), for the last 3 years.

With the QB trends in mind (less fantasy production, more inconsistency), the top notch were really top notch, and after that lots of mediocrity (aka drafting a top WR early is good, after that waiting is good *cough* top TE *cough*).

Not a lot of change TD wise.

50 % of the top 32 WR in the range 800-999, that tells me draft a good WR early.

I was thinking the same thing, heh. I just like making charts and such so I figured I'd share.

WR's

I think this chart shows that if you don't get a Top WR early, you should be able to wait, there looks like plenty of depth and a team owner can use the early round picks on RB's & QB's.

Thoughts?

You know what would be REALLY cool, if you could cross reference each player...thats a huge job though so dont feel obliged to make such charts.

You describe me to a T :-b

Take the QB for example, I thought you had listed each of the top 24 QB's with all their individual numbers for the year. Like I said its a big job to do that and I know people can get the numbers online, so no need to go to that extreme. ;-D
