Great Game! WOW THE Chiefs have no D.

I predicted this game exactly right in Pick 3 :-)
And Priest Holmes got 2 TDs :-)

Just a couple of months ago everyone was wondering if the Chiefs would go undefeated through the season. Wow, they've completely collapsed. Their defense is completely a joke. Indy has a great offense, but they've showed to finish the season that they cannot stop any offense period.

Very interesting game next week. Indy's potent offense versus NE's stingy defense. This will really be the test for NE.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that Indy didn't do squat on D neither.

Couldn't stand what a verbal pounding Deirdorf was giving to the KC defense when Indy was equally as bad. KC matched 'em score for score pretty much.

Glad someone else noticed. Good call, Rob. ;-D

Here's why I can't stand Dan Deirdorf ...
Peyton Manning throws into double coverage:
Deirdorf: "There's a QB playing with confidence. Confident his WRs can go up and make that catch.
Trent Green throws into double coverage:
Deirdorf: "There's a QB playing in the panic mode. He's lucky that one wasn't picked off.

Deirdorf dogged KC all day long.
And this game was never out-of-control. For either team.
With 3 minutes left in the game - the stats were virtually identical.

And this ..........
Eddie Kennison and Johnnie Morton were the Achille's heel for KC all season long.
Want proof?
The last play of the game, down 7, with absolutely nothing to lose, the Chiefs run the ball with Priest Holmes.
Unlike Martz in last night's game, this wasn't a particularly bad call by Vermeil. This was zero faith in his WRs. And it was probably justified.

Eddie and Johnnie will be looking for work this Spring.

My 2 cents, anyway.

Kennison isn't a bad number two WR, if he had a solid #1.... Morton is a goof. Drops two passes for first downs, and one led to a red zone debaucle. He did nothing all year, and if I didn't like vermeil so much, i would say go after meshawn in the offseason. The guy sucks, but at least he can catch the ball....sometimes.

...They need to sign someone. Tony Gonzalez is great, but you can't depend on a TE and a RB for a passing attack.
