I don't think anybody will draft him very high next year.....
But how do you figure three years in a row?
2000 - Probably drafted in the first two rounds. But was coming off a season where he threw for 4300+ yds and 41 TDs. Played very well in the 11 games he started in 2000.
2001 - Probably drafted in the first two rounds. Was coming off a season where he threw for 3400+ yds and 21 TDs.....in just 11 games. Ended up throwing for 4800+ yards and 36 TDs.
2002 - Probably drafted in the first two rounds. Coming off the monster 4800+ yard season. Played poorly in the 7 games he played, was injured.....a huge bust this season.
2003 - Probably drafted late as a sleeper/recovery pick. Was a complete bust.
Yeah, he busted a couple seasons.....but you can't blame people for drafting him high. He was a fantasy monster in 1999, 2000, and 2001.
According to espn 2003 leagues, Warner was a consensus 3rd-4th rounder. 2002, he was a consensus #1 or #2 pick.

2002 + 2003 + 2004 = 3 years in a row.
That's what I'm saying......he deserved a high pick in 2002, coming off a season where he threw for the third most yards in NFL history, with 36 TDs to boot.

Wow, I'm shocked he was drafted that high this year. I think he was taken in the 7th round in my league.

I remember him specifically, because I was looking at drafting a high powered QB-WR combo. Manning-Harrison was unlikely. I saw that in order to get Warner-Holt, I'd have to spend a 3rd and 4th draft pick to get those two. The best value was Hasselbeck-Jackson. That was like 8th round-10th round. Never went through with any of them.
I have to agree with the people against martz. I have never been high on him ever since he became the coach. Now, I am not a St Louis fan, and am totally neutral here. I think Bulger will be a good QB for them. Warner for some reason has lost his edge. If you see martz go, I think Bulgers stats go up signifitcantly. Plus, this is the first full season that bulger has behind him, and he was not even the starter in week 1. I say let warner go all together, save the aggravation, and move on to another backup. BUlger is plenty good enough to win win for st louis. Look at some of the comebacks and passes he has made late in games, the guy has talent. Cut him some slack.

The next bad game he has, the other will come in.
QBBC.
History shows otherwise. He left Bulger in despite making threats otherwise. As bad as game Bulger may have had Saturday, Warner never saw the field. If anything, history shows Martz is pretty stubborn. He didn't pull Warner until it was absolutely necessary and he did the same thing this year with Bulger.
