What qualifies D Marino as director of football operations?

What qualification does D Marino have for such a position? This seems like another bad move by the Dolphins, what do you guys think ?

Living legend as far as the Dolphins organization goes. Seems more of a public relations move than a move in the right direction for football.

Not saying he can't succeed, but he doesn't have any qualifications or history that would show he would.

Seems like he is a better fit than Deon Sanders with the Falcons.

That's not saying too much but I'd have to agree.KG said it best, definitely a big PR move.

So, how much power does Marino actually have. Matt Millon power? What exactly are the differances between "director of football operations", and GM.

Dolphin fans around the world cringed on that one ... ugh.
But honestly, Dan's qualifications include a great flash game. Give it a try:

Great PR move, has to boost the players confidence knowing Dan will be involved...

However, now we seem to have a 3 way battle for the QB spot :-b
