He was going to go to Syracuse. At Syracuse they recruited him as "the next Donavan McNabb" and that turned him off. He wanted to make a name for himself.

Ironic that his brother took the opposite route and decided to fill big brother's shoes.

I even tried to ask for help (as i hate to admit that) but couldn't find a single person that was able to help out...just a few slobberin drunks and toothless wonders pointing back up the road...I think they said something about mashpotatoes and how VICK was going to play at Illinois before going to VT...I couldn't quite understand them...ah well....

I, too, stopped by in Pitts on my way to NYC. It's not all that bad. We asked the local yokels how to get to Primanti's (sp?). I have to tell you, for such a dreadful city, those fellers make a MEAN sandwich ;-D But I'd actually prefer intrastate rival Jim's Steaks in Philadelphia. I scarfed down two giant cheesesteaks. Man, they were good. It was worth the hour and a half wait in line.

Quote from Website:

"Rogers became a friend of the Vick family when he was recruiting Michael Vick for Syracuse in 1997. Rogers and Marcus Vick spoke fewer than 10 times since Rogers joined the Hokies, far less often than Vick talked with recruiters from runner-up Tennesee or Virginia."

It goes on to say that Vick sent letters of intent to three universities, Tennesee, VT, Virginia
