Eagles Going After McCareins?

Justin McCareins - WR - Tennessee Titans Jan 28

The Eagles are reportedly interested in offering Justin McCareins a high offer sheet in an effort to sign him away from the Titans.
The Titans are in a salary cap cruch, and may not be able to match a big offer. McCareins makes more sense than Terrell Owens, who appears to be talking himself out of millions by the day.

Terrell Owens has done so much trash talking already, that he'll be lucky to land a $10-12 million signing bonus from some team. The Eagles would prefer to make an offer sheet to restricted WR Justin McCareins that the cap-strapped Tennessee Titans can't match.

Wow, didnt even know that he was available. If they were to get McCariens they most likely wouldnt get Owens also, but then where would Owens go. This situation is getting all mixed up

Makes much more sense than Owens (I'd love to have McCareins as the #2 in Wash). Younger, not a loud mouth, will be productive for another 7 years if he stays healthy, all around better return on investment. T.O. would never fit in with the Eagles. Andy Reid always picks the most humble guys at the positions that generate the most ego (RB&WR). This is a good move if it goes through.

Well if McCariens were to sign with the eagles would he or Westbrook return punts? This may hurt Westbrooks value

i think the Eagles need a WR that can defintely be a legitimate
#1 WR. I dont think Mccariens is that. i think Owens is the better option here. a good #2 type reciever isnt gonna kick Philly into the super bowl.

philly never gets a big name free agent. im not surprised at all to see them going for mccareins over TO. i think a player on TO's level (but TO certainly hurt his stock) is what they need tho... so im happy. :-)
