I'm getting live but i think i need 2 ethernet cables to connect from my comp to the modem, then one for the comp to the xbox...am i right??? how long does xbox take to get ur subscription processed so i can play?

Well i know for PS2 the computer has nothing to do with it, u dont need to plug a cable into the computer, it goes right into your cable modem. Im not sure about XBOX though, i would think it would be the same
it does go right into your modem...but theres only one port on my modem...and thats taken by the comp...i think ill just run a cable to the comp to get the internet through my comp network...
I would suggest either buying a hub or a router. Both allow you to have multiple port connections, so you wouldn't have to try that crazy two-cord configuration you're talking about. Wal-Mart sells some cheap hubs I believe...routers generally cost more.

ok... i bought router since im planning on getting a laptop soon anyway...everything is set except i have to wait for the store to give me it...i ordered in-store pick-up...it should be in tomorrow sometime...thanks
