3 Ways in Which the Panthers made huge mistakes

1. John Fox deciding to go for the 2 point conversion instead of the PAT. I don't know if anyone mentioned this but, if Kasay kicks the 2 PAT, then the Patriots would never go for 2 and the game would go to Overtime. Just a thought.

2. John Kasay kicking the Ball out of Bounds- C'mon This is the Superbowl absolutley no excuse. How hard is it to keep the ball in bounds.

3. This sounds Crazy maybe I am just thinking Madden, but after Vinateri made the Field Goal why Didn't the Panthers let the ball go in the endzone on the Kickoff. Then They could have had 1 last chance from their own 20. I'm not saying it would have mattered, but Ya Never Know.

The kickoff thing was definitely a major reason why the Panthers gave up the GW FG. I think most coaches have a "conversion rule book" that they follow with certain scores, so he was probably just following the script at the time.

I was really expecting the Panters to try some sort of funky lateral/home run throwback play. I don't know why they didn't at least try something instead of running into the defense.

Letting it go in the endzone would have only worked had the ball went into or out of the endzone so that they could down it due to it being a live ball. If that happened, they could have once again tried a crazy lateral play.

i say some of the blame has to be put on the panthers d...they would of been way outta FG range if the panthers didnt allow brady to hit that pass to set up the FG...

time in and time out the patriots converted on big plays down the field...

I would have won $100 if Carolina had made a PAT rather than missing on those stupid two point conversion attempts... Argh.

I still won another $100 from various bets in the Patriots favor though, so it's all good.

How about the Panther's vaunted D-line.
Best end combo in the league.
Best tackle in the league.
Brentson Buckner is pretty solid in his own right.
I only saw Peppers make one tackle (in coverage).
I didn't hear Buckner or Rucker's name at all.
Only time I noticed Kris Jenkins was when he was going offside.

And as long as we're Panther bashiing, why did they call time out with so much time on the clock? They paniced a little there. As for the in-excusable kick-off, did that really happen? I still can't believe it.

Yea..that Saints game had me thinking...

1 - After we drove down and got our last TD, I was thinking...what if Kasay misses? Could be just like Carney...
2 - On the kickoff return, I thought they'd try some laterals, or at least fumble...something!

Yeah, that last ditch effort was pathetic. He Hate Me just ran pretty much in a straight line until he got hit. No attempt to fumble, pitch, or anything. You have to at least try something.
