I can't remember an announcer in the SB having a worse game. Seemed like the pressure brought out Pheel's redundant stupidity. I especially loved hearing him try to say that Fox should or would like to have the bush-league incomplete call on Mahommad's clear fumble. Pheel, why on Earth would Fox want that play looked at? You sir, are an idiot. Sorry to rant, but I hate Pheel and his inane commentary.
Has there every been a worse game call than his for the SB?

i agree 100%. that was the most idiotic commentary ive ever heard. every other thing he said made me chuckle. :*)

I have to agree they are not my favs by any means. You would think in a game like this they would find a few more telented commentators.

Phil Simms is just a complete asshat. You can tell he doesn't know much about the game, focuses on a favorite team, and won't stop talking about them. The entire game he talked about what the Patriots have, what the Patriots need to do, what the Patriots are trying...bla bla bla

All because he's commented on more Patriots games...WAY TO KNOW THE TEAMS PHIL

Like Aww said, Gumble was horrible too. They seemed un-enthused at the freaking Super Bowl, and a good one at that. I noticed from the beginning that they just didn't have an ounce of zest in their commentary. :-t

The thing that annoyed me most with Simms was at the end of the game when he said the Patriots were a "team of destiny." Um, didn't we already hear that with the Packers earlier in the playoffs??? How can there be two teams of destiny? Seriously Phil, get another term to describe the winners!
