whoops im sure thats just a typo. unless it was assumed that fitz would be the overwhelming #1 choice and it was of interest who was second pick... :-)

its more than likely due to the fact that he is not yet "eligible" for the April Rookie Draft. Here's the news...

We were expecting a decision on Fitzgerald two weeks ago. Hopefully the delay is just a formality and he’ll be given the green light soon. Fitzgerald is physically ready for the NFL, and even if he is not made eligible for April’s draft, observers believe he should be declared eligible in time for the supplemental draft. The Raiders are reportedly interested in selecting him with the second overall pick, but what about the Chargers? In one scenario, San Diego would take Eli Manning number one in the regular draft and then grab Fitzgerald in the supplemental draft. Not a bad tandem to go with LaDainian Tomlinson. Stay tuned.

I don't see Clarrett getting in, but because of the delay, I do think that Fitz won't go until the supplementals...buts thats just my opinion...

the chargers could get manning AND fitzgerald? that doesnt seem fair... i ebt they are praying that he isnt eligible in time! 8-o

ooo man, if we got both manning and fitz that would be amazing, a great RB, a very promising QB, 2 very good WR's ooo man. here we come
