Brunell = Washington Redskin?

Such short memories...

Gibbs early on said he wanted a veteran backup. Probably for a variety of reasons.

1) safety valve in case Ramsey gets hurt or isn't productive
2) mentor
3) to push Ramsey in training camp

There's very few places Brunell could go and automatically be the starter. In fact, Miami is the only team I can think of off the top of my head. After that, there's a handful of teams he could compete for the starting job, but I think he realizes his options are slim.

Not exactly good news for the Brunell family! After the O-line finishes off Ramsey, Brunell will be fodder. He is not as mobile as he once was.

hes a backup guys dont freak. ramsey is exactly what gibbs likes in a qb. smart, streong armed, hes never needed a mobile qb (not that brunell iis that mobile anyway). i didnt really want to see this happen, but as a backup and mentor to ramsey brunell isnt a bad guy to have, provided he doesnt cost a fortune.

...of course i may be wrong...

reading on a redskins message board it seems like if brunell comes its to start. if for some reason brunell starts over ramsey and ramsey is thrown to the wayside im going to be VERY PISSED OFF. :-#

Saw this on the news last night,looks like if Brunell comes in,he's coming to start.I'm not saying that he will get the job but will certainly be given a shot....maybe it will make Ramsey better for the long haul,ugh.

The skins problems go deeper than just QB.
