Brunell = Washington Redskin?

He only threw for over 4,000 yards once back in 1996, and only once over 3,500 yards in 2000. He has never thrown for over 20 td's in a season. Since his knee injury he is no longer mobile. Too me, this just doesn't add up to a 2nd round pick when you already have a guy that can match those stat's in Ramsey.

I'm not sure that throwing for 4,000 yards is a good way to measure a QBs skill. Only 2-3 QBs/year manage to throw for over 4,000 yards.

I was just stating a fact. Take it as you want. He lead his team to a AFC Championship game, but has never thrown more than 20 td's in a season. Maybe the RB got a lot of goal line carries. There are always a lot of maybe's and if's.

Fact is that his stat's don't jump out at you and say "Hey we must trade our 2nd round pick for him b/c he is the missing piece of the puzzle!".

From a Fantasy QB Standpoint... he is not very good there either.

yeahhhhh....but sometimes you just cant look at stats....he actually got better in time as far as the td ti int stat goes......and the team started to break down around him.....is Brunell the right guy for a team rebuilding....no.....is he a good fit for a team on the verge, yes....especially with a coach like Gibbs

Brunell will probably end up like Gannon. Always pretty good wherever he goes, but won't be the "answer". Maybe at 36 he can sign on somewhere and lead his team to a Super Bowl like Gannon too.
