He seems to be the PERFECT back for New England. He's a veteran, a solid runner, and is great catching passes out of the backfield.

The question is--he was set to make some $4 million this year, does he still want that much? NE won't pay him that.

They could always give him a lower, cap friendly salary and make some of it guaranteed money. Older vets seem to like that idea.
