possible opening in league -- MUST LIVE IN MOBILE, ALA AREA

we are a 12-franchise, auction based keeper league that has a possible opening for the 2004 season.

our league has been around for 15 years. four of the current members have been in the league for over ten years. two other owners have been in the league for over five years.

we are looking for someone to make at least a two-year committment to the league.


here are a few additional requirements:

1- owner must be at least 18 years of age

2- owner MUST attend TFFL AUCTION draft held either on the Sunday before the NFL kicks off or two weeks before, pending the date of labor day.

3- owner making the league rules meeting (usually held around the nfl draft) and the rookie draft meeting (1-2 weeks before the auction draft) is recommended

4- league fees are at least $50. (may vote on $10 increase to cover cost of website)

5- owner will preferably live in Mobile, Ala, but anywhere within an hours drive would be considered.

6- owners should be readily accessable by telephone or email and have reliable internet access.

7- owners should be courteous to other owners (promptly returning emails, phone calls, etc)


8- most importantly, owner should ENJOY fantasy football. no previous experience is required.

to give you a few more details about the league:

-our franchises consist of fantasy place names (from tv, movies or literature) along with nicknames

-teams have 30 players on their roster with a $30 cap

-we start 7 offensive and 6 IDPs per week.

-scoring is done by the website...we score a lot of different categories.

-the league is divided up into four, three team divisions in two conferences

our league started 15 or so years ago with four guys or so who worked together and a couple of folks they knew from gaming.

the ownership has expanded out with one person knowing another or another...so that everyone that has joined the league has known at least 1 person in it...

have always had a pretty solid core group of 6-8 with about 1 change per year until this past season when three dropped out.


haven't ever seen anyone else here from mobile, but figured i'd give it a shot.
