I submitted this to the forum because of all the exceptional examples of man overcoming the odds and triumphing and loved most of the examples given by the Mag.
Forget your fantasy preferance to judge to rankings, who cares about some dumb magazine rankings, and read the stories of these men as individuals. If you cannot be inspired by the stories of these men, then you are even more cynical than me (and that's a hard thing). :-t

Yea, I s'pose they are a little inspiring...

As to being cynical, I view the cup as half full....but if you drink it it will probably kill you....I'm pretty cynical. ;-D

I dont know about Steve-o from Jackass being all that tough. No doubt the guy can put up with a lot of pain but there is big difference between the other people on that list and I guy that is more stupid than brave!!!!

i dont think any one person should be at the top of that list. yeah, some people go through tougher things than others, but who says one person, especially one making multi-millions of dollars a year, should be first? what about policemen and firemen and the military, like Vhawk said? and no, i dont think favre should be the toughest guy in sports either
