News: According to the Washington Post, the Redskins have some interest in signing Garner. He will opt out of the final season of his contract with the Oakland Raiders and become an unrestricted free agent.

He'd be a nice fit with Gibbs passing style...he's a strong receiving back most guys forgot about last year in the madness that was Oakland

I agree. Garner isn't given enough credit for his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. If he can block, he is a nice fit. In leagues where there are points for receptions for backs, he could be a nice #2.

Garner would be a good fit with most teams, and I would love to see him in Detroit. Don't the Skins have Trung and Betts in the fold for next season? Garner and Betts would compliment each other well, but Trung looks to be the odd man out. I think in the right conditions that Garner will be a top 10-15 fantasy RB next year.

He's definitely not someone you want to be giving 20+ carries in a game. If they use him in passing situations though, he's awesome.
