Titans General Manager Floyd Reese said there's good news and bad news regarding contract discussions between the team and the agent for defensive end Jevon Kearse.

The good news: ''We're still talking.''

The bad news: ''We are not making much progress.''

The potential for impending salary cap doom...

With less than three weeks until the March 3 deadline, the Titans remain about $17 million over the salary cap.

Reese has talked with the agents for several Titans, including quarterback Steve McNair, about restructuring some contracts, but nothing's happened.

I dont know where Kearse is going to go but I really cant see him staying in tenn. They are just in to much cap trouble!
